Why catching it early changes the fix
Preventive care works because tooth decay and gum disease both start silently and both are reversible early. An X-ray finds decay while it is still inside the enamel, when a filling fixes it. Left alone, the same spot reaches the nerve, and the fix becomes a root canal or an extraction. Gum disease follows the same curve: bleeding gums respond to a cleaning, but lost bone does not grow back. A checkup twice a year is simply how you stay on the cheap, easy end of both.

Done by one of our registered hygienists: clearing tartar and plaque, polishing, and pointing out anything worth watching at home.
Your schedule
Most patients do well with a cleaning twice a year; active gum disease may call for a closer schedule, which we’ll set together.
